Unfortunately, crocodilians do not live in the Czech Republic.
The climate is too cold here.
In spite of this, the number of their friends is increasing and together with this the number of crocodilians kept in zoos and private keepers terrariums as well.
Each year, several species reproduce ( so far seven crocodiles species reared its offspring - Caiman yacare, C. crocodylus fuscus, Paleosuchus palpebrosus, Osteolaemus tetraspis, Crocodylus niloticus, C. rhombifer, C. siamensis ).
For the support and propagation crocodilians breeding, the Czech Association for Breeding and Conservation of Crocodilians ( CZECHCROCS ) was established in November 2007.
The association will aim escecially to following activities :

-  To make better evidence of crocodilians in area of the Czech Republic, to establish
studbooks for reproducing species and with this we can maintain longtime pure genetic
    lines.

-  Professional assistance for beginning crocodilians keepers.

-  Initiation of legislative changes which will make crocodilians breeding easier and more
    effective.

-  Consultative activity for state organs with creation of laws and regulations related
    to crocodilians breeding.

-  Tutoring and education of public about protection of nature.

-  Financial and professional support of projects aimed at conservation of freeliving
    crocodilians populations.

Association is opened for everybody interested in crocodilians and we are expecting that joined efforts will contribute to conservation of crocodilians and allow them to live at the planet Earth even together with human population.
Soon, there will be option to close familiarize with association via web page
